It was the summer of 2020 when I was going through a bit of a struggle in my life. I remember being unemployed and worried as my unemployment benefits were soon going to be running out. Needles to say I think I was starting to go insane as I was noticing the appearance of a certain number over and over. To be specific I was seeing the number 1616 multiple times a day.
I though it had to be a coincidence but after seeing 1616 once in a book I was reading and then another time on my 24 hour clock within the span of 5 minutes I knew something was up. I quickly looked up this numbers meaning and found a helpful post explaining this numbers meaning https://numerologyangel.com/1616-angel-number/ This was definitely an encouraging post as it was letting me know that my struggles would soon end. 3 Reason You Keep Seeing Certain Numbers Here's some key takeaways I got from that post regarding repeating numbers (Angel Numbers as they are referred to in Numerology)
Most horoscope sources base their predictions on the stars and in particular their movement. However, you must keep in mind that it’s not the stars that are moving but rather the earth. The reason it may appear that it is the stars that are moving and not the earth is because the earth is rotating on its axis. In addition, the earth is orbiting around the Sun which makes the movement seem like it’s coming from the stars. Before all our scientific advancements allowed us to figure out it is the earth that’s moving and not the stars, humans had no way of knowing this.
To clarify, astrology may make many predictions and look for many signs in space, keep in mind it’s not a science. Many humans spend much of their time looking up at the stars in hopes they will find their purpose in life. This was also common among ancient Egyptians, Babylonians, and even farmers. The Egyptians predicted the flooding of the Nile river through the observation of Sirius or “the Dog star”. In addition, travelers used the stars as a guide or compass to help them navigate to their destination. It is unknown who was the first to take a look at the stars and try to make sense of what was going on from earth. It is even more unclear who came to the conclusion that the stars had any influence on how one’s life might play out or how the life of those around them will play out. And while astronomers and those who believe in horoscopes may not agree on everything, they do understand why horoscopes and observing the heavens got so popular. To sum up, it’s ok to look up your horoscopes, perhaps they may influence your life in a positive manner. In the end, it’s never a bad thing to have faith in that which you believe in. The beginnings of spirituality lie within the Christian theology. In turn, it comes from the latin word “spiritualitas” and from the Greek noun pneuma which means “spirit”. Originally “spirit” described that of physical being or “flesh”, basically anything that was not God. As a result, those who were “spiritual” simply meant that God was with them as a “spirit”. Today spirit means something that is immaterial and intangible. In addition, it still is that which “is not god”.
On the other hand, millennials believe that “spirituality” is associated with material possession. Furthermore, some believe that one can connect with the spiritual side of themselves through horoscopes and numerology. While it may be true that such fields can help one perceive themselves better it’s important to note that religion plays a large role as well. Many times, individuals turn to religion in order to answer some of the most difficult questions. For example, what is the meaning of life? Why are we here? Many seek a purpose and value to their lives but have trouble finding it. Ever since individuals have turned to religion for the answers to their greatest questions, they have gotten a better understanding of themselves. To clarify, they are not so lost when it comes to the meaning of the spirit and the soul. In contrast, many are not religious and as expected don’t believe in what religion says or practices. These individuals claim that most religions are outdated, and science has proven many of religions claims incorrect. However, even through many scientific advancements many still hold onto religion and continue to ask questions in regard to their value and purpose. In addition, quite a few millennials believe that science alone cannot answer the most important questions. To clarify, questions that concern nature and the purpose of life and death. While it may be true that science cannot answer these questions it’s not to say that religion is correct by default. It would seem that when people speak of spirituality, they are trying to answer those questions which science hasn’t yet. While many today aren’t as religious, they certainly do believe in “spirituality” and a higher being watching us all. Perhaps, this is why there has been an increase in atheists and many who are interested in the spiritual realm. However, it is also not a good idea to cast scientific evidence aside simply because all one’s questions have not been answered. It’s ok to question religion and uncertain scientific findings but it’s best if science continues to seek out life’s greatest mysteries. In addition, one shouldn’t feel as though science is attempting to discredit religion or spirituality, science is simply uncovering what is already there. In other words, we may never find out what happens after death so it’s perfectly fine to hold on to your religious views and never lose faith. |
